The Sprayfo feeding schedules have been developed to promote maximum growth and optimal rumen development of the calf.
Depending on your calf rearing strategy, specific feeding schedules may be adviced. Please contact your local distributor.
Colostrum
- feed 4 - 5 litres of colostrum immediately in the first 24 hours, this is 10-15% of the body weight of the calf
- feed colostrum for the first 3 days restrictedly and warm or ad-lib at ambient temperature by teated bucket
- transfer from colostrum to Sprayfo after 3 days
Weaning
- calves must be healthy and in good condition at the age of 7-9 weeks
- when the consumption of concentrates is 1500 grams per day
- the weight is ± 65-85 kg (based on HF)
Preparation Sprayfo
- use 100-125 g powder to prepare 1 litre of milk
- dissolving temperature 45°C
- feeding temperature 40°C
