Answer

This absolutely is the case. The way Sprayfo calf milk replacers are prepared is very important for the following reasons.
When the milk is too thin, the calf's gastrointestinal tract might consider this to be water and the milk will flow into the rumen.
Inside the rumen it will rot, which causes diarrhoea in the calf.
Beside this, the calf has to grow from milk in particular in the first month. Milk that is too thin will provide less growing power. Especially in colder days the calf has a greater need for energy. Calves which energy levels are too low are more susceptible to diseases.

Sprayfo advices a dissolving ratio of 1 kg Sprayfo on 7 litres of water. This will provide 8 litres of milk with 125 grammes of powder per litre.
Therewith the dry matter content in the final solution is equal to that of cow's milk.
This ratio works best in practice: optimal drinking, good digestion and maximum growth. Obviously by following the Sprayfo feeding schedule.

In order to realize the optimal ratio in practice you can use a simple (kitchen) sclae or a bucket with measuring lines (graduation).
Also alignment of the drinking machine needs attention in this.
