Before1958

The Sloten factory used to be a butter, cheese and milk factory.
Last delivery of milk took place, with the upcoming change of use.

1958

• Some dairy cooperatives and Cebeco trade council run trials with mixing fat and whey powder at the CAF Leeuwarden. 
• Lyempf factory in Sloten is bought, where liquid raw materials can be dried and fat can be spray-dried.
• Start production of calf milk replacers for rearing and fattening.
• Start of the “Coöperatieve Veevoederfabriek Sloten G.A.”

1962

Fattening under contract is starting up on a large scale.

1968

Construction of two warehouses in the more centrally situated Deventer (NL), for better logistics. The city council of Deventer sells the ground for 0 cents in order to attract more industrial activities.

1970

Construction of the factory in Deventer, including mixing facility, named “Centrale Veevoederfabriek Sloten v.o.f.”

1979

Sloten Friesland installs new dryers.

1983

25th anniversary “CV Sloten” is greatly celebrated.
Personnel present a gift to the CCF Board.

1984

European superlevy. Decrease Sprayfo sales: focus on more export.

1987

• Drastic reorganisation and move of head office from Leeuwarden to Deventer. Construction office floor on top of existing building. 
• Reduction number of stables under contract in the fattening industry and expansion of export activities.
• Change of company name: “Centrale Veevoederfabriek Sloten c.v.”

1989

First steps with Nuklospray.

1991

Sloten introduces its new logo.

1992

Opening trial farm in Winssen, the Netherlands.

1993

• Starter recognition GMP for the Deventer factory.
• Leave Jan Zeinstra. Managing Director: Gosse Siebenga, Deputy Director: Steffen Rouwers.
• Divestment of calf fattening activites, including meat processing. 
• Start worldwide sales of Nuklospay fat concentrates for the production of piglet feeds.
   

1995

ISO9001 certification for Sloten Friesland and Deventer.

1996

Management buyout from cooperative to private persons. New name: Sloten B.V.

1999

• Installation 4 new silos in Deventer.
• Introduction buffalo milk in Italy.

2001

GMP changes into GMP+, with HACCP included.

2002

Sloten certified in accordance with ISO9001, version 2000.

2003

Changeover to working in 5 shifts, 24 hours x 7 days in Sloten Friesland.

2006

Take-over by Nutreco (Trouw Nutrition International).
Managing Director: Willem Kernkamp.

2007

• New sales team in Sloten Brazil.
• Sloten Friesland at full capacity.

2008

• New weigh feeders in Deventer.
• Two extra silos in Deventer.

2008

50th anniversary Sloten B.V was greatly celebrated.
